HETTIE'S TEAROOMS AND APPLETREE NURSERY JOIN FORCES!
Two local Perth based businesses have joined forces to offer their customers a new service that aims to make life easier for busy working parents.
Hettie’s Tearoom has developed and delivered a bespoke online mealtime ordering system for Apple Tree Nursery Parents and Children. The website allows parents to register their child, any food allergies or intolerances and make notes on their tastes and preferences. They can then encourage their child to get involved in mealtimes by allowing them to select lunch options and fruit pots on their bright child friendly site. Parents can choose to pay online or via a “pay as you go” system in Hettie’s Princes Street Tearoom.
The fresh meals are delivered daily to the nursery as a packed lunch – there’s even an option for parents to write a note that is popped in the bag!
Laura Geekie, Apple Tree Owner commented, “When we set up Apple Tree we wanted to provide a service that would assist parents in their busy lives – both Jo, my sister and business partner, and I are working mums and we know that the little things make a huge difference. This has brought an extra service to the parents while allowing them to remain in charge of their child’s eating and feel secure in the knowledge that they are eating fresh, healthy food.
Nicola Martin of Hettie’s continued, “When we started to chatting to Laura and Jo we were in the midst of developing the technology for a project we’re working on. The little extras like the note for the bag and secure area for storing children’s details were all added for Apple Tree. We’re extended the lunch to include ready-made dinners that parents can collect with their child and pop in the oven when they get home. Clare and I are working mums – it’s a time thing!”
Hettie’s have also created an Apple Tree Rainbow caffeine free fruity tea infusion that the children can enjoy hot or cold; with the current business climate remaining tough the two businesses agree that partnerships like this are win win for all involved.
